Miss Adi is a kindly Jewish widow who recently put up a poster in her neighborhood to see whether she can
find a good home for a stray kitten she found. One evening as she lights her menorah, a young boy named
Daniel comes to see about the kitten at Christmas. She tells him about Hanukkah, and Daniel and his family
tell her about Christmas. The heartwarming friendship between Daniel and Miss Adi that begins this night
eventually leads Miss Adi to understand the Truth of the verse, "He came unto his own and his own received
him not."
