Write a poem that uses the poetic technique “anaphora.” Check the article and writing tips our Cool Reads page to find out what this technique is and how to use it. Have fun writing the poem—then just print and fill out thecontest entry form and send it to us with your submission and the regular entry fee of $3. Your submission should be postmarked no later than January 9, 2009. We’ll announce the winner in each category by the first week in February. The prize in each category is the novel Medallion, featured in our “From the Bookshelf” section; and the winning selections will be featured in our showcase.

When you enter, be sure to mark your age category:
Ages 10–12
